Brian, you make a good point and one that I considered.

Keep in mind that I was never specifically suggesting that people look at the ads. I was mostly just trying to get readers to casually look around the whole page instead of subconsciously blocking out the ads.

I would venture to say that Google (and any other advertiser intermediary) wants people to notice ads. Google opening makes recommendations as to the most optimal places on a webpage to position ads so that they get the most exposure.

I agree that when taken to the extreme of specifically asking/telling people to check out ads that crosses the conservative line that they want to maintain.

I started at the beginning and this is as far as I've gotten, so I don't know if this is the problem, but... It's against Google's Adsense terms of service to call attention to the ads to get people to click on them.

Maybe that's why they kicked you, so you wouldn't endanger their adsense account.

It would have been nice of them to warn you first, though.
